MARPPIO FORUM POSTING GUIDELINES
If you want to participate in the MARPPIO Forums, you
must comply with all the rules listed below. We are very serious about
creating an atmosphere that promotes, free thought, freedom of
expression, intelligence, respect and honour.
The forum guidelines are meant to reinforce these values and will change
from time to time as the Internet and freedom of speech on electronic media become tested and MARPPIO will respond to these changes accordingly.

Show respect for each other.
Jokes among friends is great, however, please be aware that the forum
is essentially an open area and that not everyone has the same sense of
comedy and irony as you. Please be careful about what you post --
everyone can see it and may be offended by what you write.

Keep vulgar language to a minimum.
Cursing is tolerated -- we have badwords2 filter installed and will
block out words on our list of profanities and we will add more as they
are discovered. However, tremendous usage of hurtful language is mean
spirited and will not be tolerated. Additionally, your post, because
of the badword filter, will resemble a tic-tac-toe game with words and
no one will understand it.

Refrain from leaving personal information on the forums.
Keep in mind that the forum is an open area where many people can view
what you write. Identity theft is becoming more likely as a result of
persons not aware of the consequences that result from leaving personal
information on a forum website. Things NOT TO POST include: credit
card numbers, telephone numbers, home addresses, bank routing
information, sensitive or discrete information that leads to harm upon
someone else, information related to current court trials. This list
will expand as cases arise on our forums which result in sensitive
information being mistakenly exposed to the public. The consequences
of sensitive information may be horrendous including: prosecution by
law enforcement, jail time, financial loss, injury to human beings,
animals and destruction of property. We will be vigilant in monitoring
this aspect of the forums; however, MARPPIO WILL
NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES AND INJURY AS A RESULT OF CONTENT THAT
IS POSTED ON OUR FORUMS. By agreeing to participate on our forums as a
poster and user, you will hold MARPPIO free from
all claims that result in the financial loss, injury and prosecution.
Post at your own risk.
- Report any abuses of forum rules to the admins.
Simply notify us with an email if you believe that there are problems
that disturb you and are related to your participation in the forums.
We will try to resolve it as quickly as possible. This is the best way
to deal with these types of situations, as retaliatory forum postings
(essentially taking the matter into your hands) causes more friction
and generates more angry forum postings. We want to try to keep the
forums as respectful a place as possible and don't want any type of
intimidation or bullying to occur.
- Have fun! These rules are meant to protect everyone and to keep all the posters and the forum admins on an even playing field.
There are only 5 rules to forum usage and are very simple to
understand. Keep these in mind when you post and...by all means: post!
